You know winter’s almost over, you know you need a good boost of energy, you know you love qawwali and you love Barbes and you love BQP, you know you want to celebrate Ornette Coleman’s birthday properly, therefore you KNOW this is where you will be March 9th from 10 pm until the stroke of midnight. Look folks, I’m a morning person and usually asleep by 10 pm, and there’s not much I stay up for besides a BQP show, so I think you should too. It’s only on days like these that I’ll have espresso after 3 pm, which is always a thrill. Anyway, get caffeinated and come let the music move you.
